While there are many fully featured heavily padded gunbags capable of holding an air rifle with a large optic on-board there aren’t that many conventional slips that can. In that respect the Jack Pyke Super Scope Slip is the ideal solution and now the company have made it available in their new and very effective English Oak Evolution camo design (as well as English Oak and English Woodland), it’s an even more appealing proposition.
Manufactured from heavyduty, hardwearing 600D Cordura this oversize well designed stylish slip measures 48-inches long x 11-inches at its widest point. This means it’ll swallow up almost all ‘heavily-scoped’ full-length buddy bottle fed PCPs.
Access to the more than adequately padded interior is via a heavy-duty full-length zip and it features double carry handles and adjustable shoulder strap; for stowage there’s a small but useful zip fasten external pocket.
The design is such that the spine is semi-rigid for added support while canvas webbing can be seen laid across the outer supplying extra strength plus there’s also more external protection at the muzzle and a hanging ring. Unlike many camo slips, the JP design use their pattern set as relatively large side panels overlaid onto the olive green Cordura. Cosmetically this sets the slip apart from many others and results in it looking as stylish as it is practical.
