Maxpedition Multi-Purpose Bag and Spartan Wallet
- Last updated: 26/01/2017
The Maxpedition range of luggage for action sports and tactical applications is huge, but the two items featured here are equally suitable for anybody that needs tough practical gear for everyday use.
MPB
The MPB (Multi-Purpose Bag) is a straightforward, professional multi-purpose briefcase with 30 litres of cargo space and 22 independent carrying compartments.
Overall exterior dimensions (including main, front, rear and side pockets) are 16” (W) x 11” (H) x 10” (D)
The main compartment is 14” x 10” x 6” and will take anything from A4 files to ammo boxes. It comes with stiffened removable divider panels for separating your gear and for attaching any accessories equipped with Velcro. The interior is accessed by a double zipped flap (the zips can be opened simultaneously), with a Velcro fastening strip at one end for fast access yet secure closure.
The front compartment (13” x 9.5” x 2”) has two-way zip access, that allows it to be opened on three sides. The interior of this compartment has one large expandable pocket (with a clip securing strap with quick release buckle), plus a variety of smaller pockets for pens, keys and other similar items. The rear compartment is the same size and has identical access, with one large interior pocket, plus two medium pockets.
At either end of the bag there is additional stowage space; two medium compartments (5” x 5” x 2” and 5” x 4” x 2”) on the left hand side and a single large compartment (9” x 6” x 2”) on the right with a separate clear ID/Card panel and covered multiple pen holder pocket.
Carriage is taken care of by a pair of heavy duty handles that can be joined with a cushioned grip fastened with Velcro, or you can use the heavy duty 2” wide detachable shoulder strap with non-slip pad.
Made of Teflon coated, water and abrasion resistant, light-weight ballistic nylon fabric, with YKK zippers and UTX-Duraflex nylon buckles, the MPB has a very durable construction.
As the name suggests, this is a very versatile piece of luggage, ideally suited for use as a range bag, or as an photographic/filming gear or as a document/laptop business case or as a heavy-duty overnight bag.
Available in Black, Green, Foliage Green, Khaki or Orange, the Maxpedition MPB is priced at £131.95
Spartan – The Change Has Done It Good
The new Maxpedition Spartan Wallet has evolved from the PUG Wallet design. The evolution was a result of popular demand for a general purpose wallet design without the bulky zippered coin purse that could make carrying difficult and pockets bulge…
This simple change – losing the coin compartment - makes for a much better, yet less expensive wallet.
At 5.5” x 3.5” x 0.5” when closed, the Spartan is compact yet still contains lots of stowage space. The closure flap is secured with Velcro, and the wallet is 5.5” x 9” when open.
Internally there are two ‘long slot’ large pockets for bank notes making it easier to carry multiple currency types, and a single ‘narrow slot’ large pocket for documents. Two medium pockets and six credit card size mesh (see-through) pockets complete the internal stowage, with two internal Velcro tabs to prevent slippage. Externally a mesh pocket gives quick access to ticket stubs, receipts or other small flat items, while a sewn-in tie-down tab allows attachment of a tether/lanyard for additional security.
The Maxpedition Spartan wallet is available in Black, Green, Foliage Green or Khaki heavy duty nylon, and costs £18.95.
