HW100 Buddy Bottle Conversion Kit

Dr Bob first appeared on the airgun scene with his own design air regulator tester for the Theoben Rapid 7.

Soon after he was developing Quick Fill systems for the rifle as well as a Weaver/Picatinny and dovetail rails that replaced the original mount bases and secured to the action block using the same screw location points. However, a relatively new unit, he’s now producing a buddy bottle conversion kit for the Weihrauch HW100 multi-shot PCP.

CNC machined from high-grade aluminium and brass, it consists of an integral air gauge and quick fill inlet valve. To fit the kit, the one-piece ‘unit’ screws into the original HW’s air reservoir housing, held in place by a recessed lock screw. Below this ‘fitting’ you can clearly see the threaded attachment for a 200, 280, 400 or 500cc buddy bottle. Obviously the stock has to be modified as the bottle ‘sits’ lower from the action than the original air cylinder. Pest controllers simply ‘saw’ the end of the original Weihrauch stock (heathens), but many hunters using this conversion have a custom stock made. The plus points of this conversion are a higher shot capacity plus the overall weight of the action is lighter and due to the weight coming back towards the shooter, many feel the rifle handles far better than the original. Definitely a conversion kit to consider, particularly for an air-hungry FAC rated rifle, but do take into consideration the added expense of having a custom stock manufactured to do the conversion justice.
