Napier POWER Pull Through Kit

Napier POWER Pull Through Kit

Alternatively, you’ve laid up in ambush near dry fine soil and/or sandy banks near rabbit warrens, or anywhere else fine grit can be easily raised by a breeze to enter your barrel and infiltrate any areas it can in your air rifle’s action. These are just a few situations where you’ll find this kit is very handy to have with you.

Packaged in a stylish and compact (7.5 x 5.75 x 2.5-inch) zip close heavy-duty black canvas case with belt loops and carry handle, it contains 200ml of POWER Airgun Oil, 50 Power Rifle Clean Patches, 3 VP90 Field patches for general cleaning of the outside of barrels, action and any metalwork, and a ‘Pull Through Cable’ tool including a fully illustrated instruction manual.

The strong flexible pull through cable is coated so it won’t damage the barrel by metal to metal contact and has an anodised alloy handle, so no worries over its strength or durability. Using its soft flexible loop you pass this down through the barrel, attach a pre-cut Rifle Clean patch and simply pull back through the tube, repeating the process until satisfied it’s clean. Use in conjunction with the supplied lubricant and cleaners ensures effective removal of lead and dirt deposits with no damage to ‘O’rings or seals.

Another nice touch is that if you visit the company’s website, Napier head-honcho, Steve Rowe, has now uploaded a short instructional video showing how to use and clean your air rifle using the kit.

Pistol Power

story continues below...

While some hunters prefer to go it alone when hunting at night, others, particularly fox shooters, often pair up with a shooting acquaintance who acts as the ‘lamp man’. Often, they’ll regularly switch rolls so that both get their chance of a shot or two during the session. As gun- mounted lamping kits have generally become more compact, lightweight and self-contained, it makes sense that handheld lamps are now following
suit.

The Clulite (PLR-400) re-chargeable Pistol Light is a prime example of how far lamping kit has developed in this area. The name obviously derives from the unit’s pistol-like design configuration. The toughened black ABS casing measures 5 1⁄2-inch along the top from the rear to the black anodised aluminium lens collar. The reflector housing is 2 1/8-inch diameter and optional ‘flip-up’ style filters are available should you want to diffuse the light.

The 1-inch wide slab sided handle drops down 43⁄4-inches from the upper section of the unit, while the on/off pressure switch operates very positively and is ideally positioned for the forefinger. The overall ergonomic design makes the Pistol Light very comfortable to hold and simplicity itself to use.

There are no trailing leads to a battery pack because the body casing has integral lightweight Lithium- ion re-chargeable batteries that power the 1000 lumen CREE T6 LED that in turn can project a beam out to 400-metres. It has a three hour run time from a full charge and being so compact can be placed in a jacket pocket when moving position.

The kit comes with mains charger and has a 6-hour charge time.
