LED Lenser Torch

LED Lenser have excelled themselves with the addition of two uniquely configured torches - the X7R and slightly larger X14. Both share similar build characteristics, body casings and are manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminium. Where the design is most evident is at the front as both use two separate LED’s side by side housed behind two separate lenses.

The X7R is rechargeable and includes a mains charger for its Li- ion battery. Both have heavy duty, 360° hands-free ABS belt clips and there are lanyard points in the tail cap which incorporates the ON/OFF and mode switches.

BEAM ME UP

Two optically synchronised reflector lenses, both incorporating the patented Advanced Focus System optics that LED Lenser is world renowned for, operate in perfect harmony to deliver almost 500 lumens. The output from such a small and lightweight unit has to be seen to be believed. The powerful beam can either be concentrated for longer range, or alternatively, for close up work; in flood it shines in a circle up to 45 meters in diameter.

Complimenting this is the Smart Light Technology micro-chip controlled heart of the torch. This allows users to choose between two energy consuming modes, and any one of three pre-programmed lighting functions that deliver up to eight options (power, low power, boost, dim, Morse, blink, SOS and defence strobe).

The LX7R also features the Floating Charge System which uses a magnetic contact enabling the torch to be recharged without the need for battery removal. Once full it’s ready for instant use without the need to reassemble. Included in the X7R kit are a rechargeable battery, Floating Charge System, hand strap, Intelligent Clip, Smart Instruction Card which are all safely protected for transportation and storage in a durable hard ABS carry case.

X-LENS

Alternatively, its close relative the LED LENSER X14 features what the company term X-Lens Technology™. This synchronises and controls multiple LED Lenses in order to deliver a single superior flood or spot beam of light. At the front, the dual lenses use the same patented Advanced Focus System™ optics that is recognised worldwide as one of the best. It also features two regulated, energy consumption options as well as the other functions and modes previously stated for the X7R. This Smart Light Technology™ leads the way in giving users the ability to instantly ‘tailor’ light as required for their environment or situation.

To change the cone of lights diameter, on any setting you thumb over the elongated slightly extended lug positioned at the base of the head to unlock then manually slide forward the housing which makes it progressively tighter as a spot light.
