Tracer Tri-Star Pro LED lamping kit

First we saw the Lithium Ion batteries, which are smaller and lighter than the traditional, sealed, lead/acid types, plus feature smart, integrated circuitry to improve operation.  Now it’s the turn of the light to get an upgrade! Such an advance is the Tracer Tri-Star Pro. With Deben’s long track record in the production of quality lamping kit then it was obviously only going to be a matter of time before they created something that was going to maximise performance across the board.

The Tracer Tri-Star Pro is one of a few models that use three LED bulbs in the lamp to produce a tight and powerful beam. Most kits in the range come pre-packaged in plastic protective carry cases, which will make them handy to carry and safe when stored. Opening it up reveals a foam block with individual cut-outs for the components.

Pre-Packaged

What you get is; the Tri-Star Pro Gunlight with 25mm scope adaptor, 12V 4Ah Lithium Ion polymer battery pack with integral battery charge condition (fill gauge), belt-mounted carry pouch, AC mains and DC 12V vehicle chargers, adjustable, stock-mounted ON/OFF switch and the lamp to battery extension lead. The lightweight polymer lamp head holds three, high power, white LED’s. The reflector is designed to produce a brilliant spot beam and a high performance driver circuit enables the light to be dimmed as required. This is controlled by a rectangular, gun-mountable unit (Velcro pads) with ON/OFF, rocker switch above and a rheostat drum adjusts the brightness with no perceivable time lag, which is good.

From a full charge expect approximately 6-hrs continuous run time. Incredible for such a compact power source that can project a brilliant white, tight beam out to a practical 300m with little to no over spill. At full power this is producing 1600-lumen.

All Uses

Airgun hunting, rimfire and most foxing duties can now be carried out gun-mounted using this lightweight, versatile and neat set up. Optional flip up filters have been specially designed to work with the LED white beam to allow maximum performance and offer red, amber, blue and green options. Should it go out of warranty and you have a problem, any item of the kit can be bought separately. The battery has a life expectancy of 300 cycles to 70% of full capacity. That equates to a lot of lamping trips.
