Fiocchi aims to change perceptions of shooting sports

› Italian ammunition manufacturers, Fiocchi, have attended The National Outdoor Expo (NOE) in Birmingham as they aim to introduce new audiences to clay shooting.
Fiocchi’s presence at the NOE was the first time they had showcased shooting sports outside of the sector. NOE attendance tops 20,000, with an even gender divide offering a strong opportunity to increase the involvement of girls and women in clay shooting, where they currently make up just 6% of participants.
The Fiocchi stand offered a virtual reality clay shooting experience, affordable lesson opportunities, and appearances by key industry figures to promote the sport in a positive light.
The Marketing Manager for Fiocchi, Jack Dennis, told GM: “With active shotgun certificates at their lowest since records began, the industry can’t afford to compete over a shrinking market. We need to expand it.
“That’s why we’re taking action, engaging with the wider outdoor community to showcase shooting as an accessible, exciting, and rewarding sport.
“The biggest challenge we see is that clay shooting remains segregated from the wider outdoor sports world. We want to change that by bridging the gap and showing that shooting sports have a place in this space.”
