Mauser appoints Oxfordshire gunshop as its flagship UK store

Historic German gunmaker Mauser has appointed Oxfordshire gunshop R. J. Blackwall as its flagship store in the UK.

R. J. Blackwall was established in 2008 by Rupert Blackwall, who served his apprenticeship at E. J. Churchill and continued to work there for ten years. Based on the Cornbury Estate, near Charlbury, R. J. Blackwall has built up a loyal clientele, both for its discerning selection of premium brands and its reputation for gun repairs and building rifles.

Rupert Blackwall said of the development: “We’re thrilled to have been appointed as the flagship store for Mauser. The brand stands for strong principles: simplicity, durability, function and heritage. It’s a premium brand, and we’re looking forward to working with the distributor Blaser Sporting Ltd to champion Mauser rifles. The quality of these rifles is top-notch, and they are known for their accuracy and toughness – a perfect combination for British stalkers.”

R. J. Blackwall will be stocking a selection of Mauser rifles from the M12 Max to a customised M03 in .300WinMag, with grade 6 wood and engraved and polished action. The calibres stocked will encompass all the most popular, including .243, 6.5x55, .270, .308, .30-06 and 9.3x62.
