Aimpoint launches training aid for shotgun shooters: the Micro S1

  • Swedish optics brand Aimpoint has launched its new Micro S1 red dot sight, developed especially for use with a shotgun. The innovative red dot sight helps shooters in several ways: it focuses the eye on the right spot, while giving the shooter maximum contact with the target, and ensures a good head position on the stock. As a training aid, it gives the shooter the unique opportunity to see exactly where their shot will land. Exclusively distributed in the UK by Edgar Brothers, the parallax-free Micro S1 has a mounting system that allows the sight to be positioned with the lowest optical axis, which is reinforced with carbon fibre to ensure a lightweight construction. The sight can be placed at any point along a ventilated rib, and is provided with interchangeable adaptor plates to allow for most rib sizes. Compact and low profile, the sight has a 6 MOA red dot, so the shooter is provided with fast target acquisition and high visibility. The Micro S1 has 12 intensity settings, including a high maximum light intensity setting to cope with bright light conditions, and is completely enclosed in a protective waterproof housing. Easy to use, the Micro S1 can be zeroed to ensure that point of impact remains true, and an 18mm aperture. The length of the sight is just 63mm and the width 43mm with a height of just 41mm. The sight takes a 3v Lithium battery and weighs just 100g including the battery which has a life of 50,000 hours or five years of continuous use. RRP: From £670 For more information, visit www.edgarbrothers.com.
