American based Buck Knives are now a very popular brand in the UK due to the company being proactive in launching new and interesting complementary blades. In that respect the Pursuit range which consists of six different models are no exception. There are 3x models of fixed blade knives and 3x models of lock back folders.
The fixed blades consist of a small clip point knife and two large sizes – one of a gut hook design while the other is clip point. The folders consist of either a small or large clip point and a large in gut hook configuration. All models in the range have the same highly ergonomic handle design and 420HC stainless steel blades – the folders however using the same very strong lock back mechanism.
The small Buck Pursuit folder (shown) measures 4.375-inches in the closed position, features a 3-inch clip point blade and weighs 2.5oz. The Glass Filled Nylon/Versaflex green/black contrast handle has a rubberised feel making it very easy to grip and has a lanyard attach point plus the dual thumb studs on the blade allow for one-handed operation. A quite innovative feature built into the design is the ridging found mid-way on the blade spine for when applied pressure is required at this area. All come supplied with very strong and stylish polyester sheaths – the lock back sheath has an over flap press stud fastener, drainage hole and wide belt loop at the rear.
