The French manufacturer, Aigle, have been making boots by hand for 160 years and now their 200 craftsmen produce 4000 pairs a day, so they certainly know what they are doing! The Parcours 2 line of Wellingtons is aimed at the hunter and are particularly popular. There are several versions available, positioned at different price points and options that include the type of lining and materials used. Featured are the ‘Iso open’ variant, which are identifi ed by a 4.5mm thick neoprene internal lining throughout and a triple-density rubber, anti-fatigue sole with dampening cushion. This not only makes them very comfortable when walking over longer distances but also exceptionally warm, so perfect for the winter months. The open design includes 30cm side zips, making them easy to put on and take off. Sizes run from 6.5 to 14.5, making them ideal for men and the size 11 featured here, have an approximate 49 cm calf circumference measurement, when fully done up. The boots are manufactured using Gomma Plus natural rubber uppers, making them strong, durable and flexible, even in the extreme cold. The upper is attached to an effective ACTIGRIP sole, which provides good grip in a variety of conditions. To keep the boots watertight, there is an internal gusset behind the waterproof zip to provide two barriers against water ingress, giving the wearer confidence that their feet will stay dry. They come with a two-year warranty and the colour options include; Khaki and Bronze, which is Aigle’s signature colour that is actually a dark green. A great option for shooters who want to keep their feet warm, dry and comfortable.
