Pinewood’s Membrane hunting gloves from Koolbox are ideal for those long cold waits in a sedentary hunting role where immediate handling and dexterity are not urgent. The gloves are heavily insulated, leaving your index finger approximately 25mm in diameter, so a ‘snug’ fit in most firearm trigger guards, although a slit is presented in the outer shell through which the lining will push to operate a trigger blade with slightly improved dexterity.
Available in Moss Green and Suede Brown with optional lady’s model, the Gent’s version shows Medium/Large sizing or XL/XXL for BIG hands. All seams are taped, with plentiful grip available from the rubberised panels on palms and fingers with the glove pulled up snugly with a firm rear strap to lock it in place. Elasticated cuffs rise high up inside your coat sleeves to seal out the weather. The outer will hold some water but not allowing it to soak through, so you can still get the gloves on and off fairly rapidly, which can become very difficult with some designs of heavier fabric weight. Although thick, you still have decent dexterity for handling and carrying items, as the soft insulation quickly deforms, allowing greater feel for what you are holding onto.
