Sitka is a new premium clothing line that we look forward to seeing a lot more of as time rolls on, and as they’re based in Denmark they have all the bloodlines of yet another fine range.
The Jetstream gloves combine the latest camouflage patterns and Gore-Tex laminates with fine tailoring, to provide water repelling and windproof protection for your hands, with a good fit to offer fine control dexterity. The soft finish to the outer of the glove assures quiet movement and a smooth surface designed to avoid absorbing any water, but allowing whatever does fall onto the surface to bead easily and run off quickly. Full immersion and pressure on soaked surfaces like peat will eventually defeat any semi-permeable, breathable glove. The palms and fingers are textured with suede like material for grip, with `lightning flash` rubberised Sitka logos adhered to the index and second fingers for trigger control. Multiple individual panels cut to complex shapes follow the contours of your hand closely and neat internal stitching ensure no areas will bulk up and feel clumsy. Lined with a soft fleece texture, the gloves are warm for spring conditions but cutting the wind chill is always a massive controlling factor here.
A slight elastic-feel aids lightness and the cuffs extend 50mm beyond the base of the thumb to further cut skin/air contact and lastly, long finger loops at the wrist make pulling the gloves on and off easy.
