Jahti Jakt Kero Premium Hunting Suit

Jahti Jakt has become synonymous with top quality outdoor clothing and footwear. Products all incorporate tried and tested materials with each being designed for certain type of activity or season. On test; the Kero Premium, a lightweight feature packed combination primarily designed for the active hunter.

COMPREHENSIVE!

Built upon a 100% Polyester base, both jacket and trousers have an ‘AIR-TEX 2’ membrane laminated onto the surface which is water/windproof and breathable. This also prevents the jacket becoming heavier when it rains as it doesn’t hold water. The outer shell is TEFLON-treated adding to the materials dirt and water repellent properties. Also a SCENTECH odour blocker is used. The outer fabric still has a ‘soft touch’ feel and is rustle-free!

The jacket is shot so allowing more freedom of movement and boasts two large cargo pockets with press stud overflaps with lined hand warmer slots behind. Above are two zip fastening pockets with protective flaps and above these are a further two ‘self-seal’ design zip fastened horizontal pockets. It also features underarm zippered inner mesh lined air vents.

INSIDE

There are two more mesh pockets in the jacket lining and a left breast zip closure pocket with extra waterproofing so ideal for documents/phones! A roomy, detachable and peaked wired-rimmed hood with toggle adjust drawstrings is included. This can be substituted for a mosquito net that uses the same attachment. The front is closed by a heavy-duty, all-weather double zipper and studded storm flap, not forgetting the adjustable hem line plus high storm collar with corduroy inner. The pre-shaped sleeves have elasticated cuffs with adjustable Velcro strap fasteners for cinching around the wrists.

The trousers have two deep hand warmer pockets, two press stud cargo pockets with flaps and a press stud fasten pocket at the rear. For heat regulation, they have zippered vertical air vents to the side and just rear of each of the handwarmer pockets. The lower legs have well-positioned, Velcro straps to cinch around any height of field boot. They feature a part elasticated high rear waistband with belt loops and buttons for braces and Velcro adjusters. A zip fly is met at the top, by a thick generous wide strip of double sided Velcro

BONUS BALL

A bonus pack includes Scentech MicroDry Underwear, Braces, Fleece Jacket and Cap. The two-piece under wear is snug fitting yet stretchy and has elasticated ribbed cuffs with thumb holes while the bottoms are elasticated at the waist and ankles. Their Riekko Fleece Jacket (included) is a real bonus, this is a quality stand-a-lone garment with four zipped pockets including two hand warmer pockets, a left breast pocket and a zip fasten pocket on the left sleeve. It’s also elasticated at the wrists, has a drawcord bottom and there are even two deep open top pockets on the inner.

A baseball-style cap with drop down earflaps is waterproof and also reversible to show ‘hunter orange’ for driven hunts. Overall I can find no fault with the whole package in terms of build quality or practicality.
