A name familiar to households across the country, the News lady who shot to fame during the Falklands war and later went on to launch BBC’s Breakfast Time programme – can you guess the name? Central to this range is premium Angoran Mohair which, famed for its tough, lustrous and resilient qualities, is the perfect material for creating the shooters most important and often overlooked garment: socks!

Due to their natural habitat the fleece of Angoran Goats has exceptional climate-control properties, largely owing to the fact that these animals must endure extreme temperature changes as part of their existence. All this means that Mohair is like nature’s Gore Tex, making it capable of keeping your feet cool in the height of summer, yet incredibly warm in the midst of winter. Another little known fact about mohair is that it can be washed at 40 degrees, something that a lot of other socks do not allow.

Impressed and convinced by the quality of these socks, The Sportsman HGun Centre SGC have decided to offer the full Naturally Selina Scott collection to its customers. This range currently includes Cashmere, Mohair and soon Yak, please see www.sportsmanguncentre. com for full details.
