I recently had to speak to David at Becketts Adventure and while I was on the phone to him I asked if there were any products he’d like me to review. He instantly said that most of the guys at Becketts were wearing the same trousers, as they were just so comfortable; well, after wearing a pair for a while, I can see why they’re so popular. What I really like about them is the fact that they are quite a slim fit, compared to a lot of other combats. Some I have just seem to have too much material in the legs and end up looking a little baggy. The material used to make these great strides is also slightly stretchy, as it contains elastane; the actual material mix is 98% cotton/2% elastane.
Brandit are a relatively new company and they certainly know how to make a pair of comfortable trousers and they have all the features you could need, such as slanted cargo pockets on the thighs that are fastened by buttons and press-studs. The left leg also has an extra zipped pocket that’s perfect for storing a mobile phone securely; two hand pockets are on the front. There is a reinforcing panel on the bottom, which is a great idea and two press-stud fastened pockets are on the rear. At the waist, there is a quality zip, a drawstring and eight wide belt loops to stop bagginess. I’m really impressed by these Advens and they are well priced at £44.99.
