Although I’m sure we all try to minimise the kit we need at the firing point or when out shooting in the field, it is without doubt a fact that a larger bag will attract, and get crammed with, unnecessary gear. The Special Ops Pouch from Viper Tactical is a super piece of minimalist kit that will hold all that you need and no more, to make the shots count. It’s 20x15x18cm in size, with 5.4l worth of storage capacity. There are fold out panels and around 20 further slots and pockets, ideal for large and small items like rangefinders, batteries, wind meters, pen, notebooks, perhaps spectacles or sunglasses too?
The 600D Cordura is both durable and showerproof, with the cover flap sealing all inside. External zippered pockets allow fast access, pockets are installed within, and a fold-out flap to carry business cards is equally suitable for range cards. A phone pocket sits outermost under the adjustable 38mm shoulder strap and there is the ubiquitous MOLLE webbing and Velcro panels for other accessories or ‘Morale’ patches. At only 455g, it will happily stow within a larger pack with the shoulder strap removed and outer buckles will securely retain smaller items on lanyards where extra security is required. Extremely handy after dark, it’s ideal for storage of extra batteries or calls without breaking the bank either.
