The Pinewood Lappland Extreme Jacket is made with an outer fabric of tough, hard-wearing, practical, Teflon impregnated 65% polyester 35% cotton. This gives quiet wear and is stain resistant, while a breathable, 2-layer lining ensures the coat is fully waterproof, windproof, warm and comfortable to wear.
Features include, fully taped seams; a press stud fitted, fully lined matching hood that has a rear volume adjuster, a stiffened peak and an elasticated front drawcord with one-hand adjustable cordlocks; a full-length two-way front zip under a deep, Velcro-closed storm flap; a high collar; Velcro tab adjusted cuffs; reinforced shoulders; large twin chest pockets that are huge with half box construction and zipped and flapped openings; twin lower front pockets – again with angled zips and Velcro-closed storm flaps; twin internal “security” pockets with zip closures; an internally adjusted waist drawcord with cord locks and captive cord ends (no dangly bits to get in the way), and an elasticated hem drawcord with side-mounted, single hand adjusted cord locks.
At times I found the top pockets a little awkward to access as the openings are mounted high and angled down from neck to armpit, but apart from this (somewhat of a personal preference issue I think), I have found the Lappland Extreme to be a very practical, comfortable, quiet to wear and weather-beating jacket that has loads of secure pocket space, and a good choice for wear in really rough weather.
Available in sizes from Small to 4XL in Dark Green/Black or Dark Grey/Black, the Pinewood Lappland Extreme Jacket costs around £134.99. Matching trousers are also available for around £99.99.
