Pinewood Finnveden Trousers are made of a tough, tightly woven, wind and shower resistant “TC1200” Teflon impregnated 65% polyester 35% cotton fabric that gives a factor 50+ UVP rated sun protection, good breathability and quick drying times if you do get the fabric soaked
The trousers have a half-elasticated waistband with 7 belt loops and a button front closure over the zip fly. There are twin angled front bag pockets, twin zipped back pockets and, on the left thigh, a short, half boxed patch pocket with a press stud closed flap, and behind this a zip-closed bag pocket, while on the right thigh there is a deeper half boxed pocket with a press stud closed flap. Inside this pocket there is an open-topped “mobile phone” pocket.
The knees of the trousers are reinforced for wear resistance. The cut of the trousers seems more suited to tall, slim Nordic types rather than short wide Celtic types (like myself), and although the waist of the trousers fitted well, for freedom of movement I could have perhaps done better by going for a size larger than I normally choose. It would seem that there is a “D” fitting available which would also be for suitable for us Celtic types, as an alternative to the slimmer cut “C” fitting.
Tough and practical, the Pinewood Finnveden Trousers come in a full range of sizes and in colours Green, Sand, Dark Green, Black and Marine Blue, and cost around £65.
