Peter Zamit of The Airgun Centre in Rayleigh names the five PCPs that sold best through his shop over the past 30 days, from a £579 complete package to a £1,795 flagship.
Most best-of lists are somebody else’s opinion. This one is a till roll. Peter Zamit has run The Airgun Centre in Rayleigh, Essex, for long enough to know what airgunners actually take home rather than what they say they want, and these five are the pre-charged rifles that sold best through his shop over the past 30 days.
They run from a complete starter package at £579 to a £1,795 flagship, with a premium hunter, a British thumbhole sporter and a tactical rifle in between. Each carries the award Peter and his team have given it. Prices are as supplied by The Airgun Centre and were correct at the time of publication; they may have changed since.

The Airgun Centre sells this 10-shot PCP, built around the well-proven BSA R10 magazine, as a complete package: a high-efficiency hand pump, a 3-9x40 telescopic sight, a carry case and a Whisper silencer are all in the box. For a first-time PCP buyer that removes the hidden second bill, because there is nothing extra to buy before the first trip to the range.
Regulated, filled to 250 bar, and around 360g lighter than the rifle it updates.
The HW100 X updates Weihrauch’s popular HW100 with a much higher shot count. A new regulator in the valve block aims for more consistent performance, while a redesigned aluminium cylinder, filled to 250 bar, takes around 360g off the weight. The .177 now offers up to 210 shots per fill and the .22 up to 250. A high-efficiency moderator and a two-stage match trigger are standard.

The R12 CLX Pro is BSA’s latest flagship PCP, following the Ultra CLX launched in 2021. It uses a regulated, mono-block side-lever action while keeping the thumbhole stock shape long associated with the R-series. The stock is made by Minelli and comes in walnut or black pepper laminate. Initially offered in .177 and .22, with further calibres planned.
M-LOK slots on three surfaces, and mounting points to international specifications.
The S510 Tactical pairs the well-established S510 action, used across disciplines from hunting to HFT, with a military-style tactical stock. All mounting points are to international specifications, so the rifle can be reconfigured in minutes to suit a different shooter. The forend carries M-LOK slots on three surfaces, which means a sling mount, bipod or vertical grip fits directly without an adaptor.
980mm and 2.9kg in UK trim, with the biggest regulator chamber Daystate has fitted.
Daystate has been developing PCPs for nearly 50 years, and in UK 12ft/lb form the Blackwolf is compact and light at 980mm and 2.9kg. It carries the largest regulator chamber yet used on a Daystate PCP, and a 20-level power wheel lets the shooter match hammer spring tension to the power actually needed. Available in .177 and .22.
A magazine test tells you how a rifle shoots. A sales list tells you what people are willing to pay for once they have handled several. The spread here is the interesting part: a £579 package and a £1,795 flagship selling well in the same 30 days says the market is buying at both ends, and that the middle ground, around the £959 to £1,479 mark, is where the British and tactical rifles are competing hardest.
