Konus Quick Release Mounts

Mounting a scope requires precision and patience to get everything set just right. Quality mounts help make the task that bit easier, and the latest Quick Release mounts from Konus are a great design, aimed at the Weaver Picatinny style rails.

These mounts are sold as a pair of split rings and are available for a one-inch scope body, or the larger 30mm. The design is super slick, with pleasingly profiled top caps, and comes with a crossbar on the underside of the grip to locate into the weaver style rails when everything is locked into place.

The big selling point, of course, is the quick release aspect, and these mounts can be tightened or undone in an instant just by using the small side-lever on each mount, no hunting for an Allen key, and with the crossbar design, it’s easy to locate the scope straight back onto the rails, accurately and precisely. Need to share a scope between set-ups? Then this system also lends itself to being able to easily switch a scope and mounts from one gun to another.

These mounts are heavier than some aluminium alternatives. However, they are well made and extremely versatile.
