Straight Shot Segway Reticle Level

Straight Shot Segway Reticle Level

As any shooter knows, getting the reticle of a telescopic sight to appear perfectly aligned, is the key to good shooting. Many shooters set it by eye, and others effectively use a plum line or distant object, known to contain a perfect horizontal or vertical plane against which the scope can be set. But the task can be tricky and unnecessarily complicated.

Well, help is at hand, with the Segway Reticle Leveler and this neat little device is remarkably simple, compact, lightweight and easy to use. No special tools are required, just a few minutes, to get everything just so. The device takes the form of two plastic rectangular sections, with black lines on front and back, a brass joining rod, and an elastic band. The scope is fixed to the rifle, but left loose in the mounts. The plastic sections of the device are then pulled apart, then with the brass rod sat on the action block behind the mounts, the two sides are then rejoined. Finally, the elastic band is fed between the hooks, under the action. You then look through the scope, and align the reticle with the black line markings. There’s a snap-in spirit level built in, and two widths of black lines to use (front or back) and it all works very well. Once everything looks aligned, just tighten the mounts fully in the normal way.
