Aim Drag Bag

Aim Drag Bag

I’m no stranger to AIM Field Sports drag bags as I own one of their AIM 40s, which is ideal for carbines like my Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 22 semi-auto AR, or equally a 223 straight-pull gun too. Protection, storage, access and carriage are of the highest order and what you are getting will protect your precious 100% be it from knocks or the weather.

HIGH FASHION AND FUNCTION CAMO

My bag is in desert tan but AIM offer a number of colour/camo options, which is sensible as we all want something a bit different. However they have now decided to make them in the latest military pattern that the British forces use – MULTICAM®. Designed by Crie Industries it’s rated as one of the most effective and versatile patterns available and it looks cool too, which is something we all like. If you don’t know, a drag bag has to live up to its name! It must be able to carry a rifle and accessories safely and securely and in the strictest sense of the description can be towed behind the shooter over any sort of terrain as they get into final position.

Ruggedly constructed from 1000 denier Cordura nylon over thick, closed-cell padding with hi-grade zips and clips all round it’s tough enough! All handles and the drag hood are box-stitched and reinforced. Extra stowage is taken care of by two large external utility pockets positioned on the right of the bag. Here there is plenty of room for accessories like spare magazines, tools, ammo and even spotting scopes etc. Inside the well-padded interior are adjustable weapon securing straps with fast-release clips and an integral cleaning rod sleeve. Plus when opened out fully it can double as a shooting mat.

ON YOUR BACK

Along with a double carry handle the rear of the bag features a concealed (deployable) harness with padded/adjustable shoulder, waist and sternum straps. This will allow you to carry the bag on your back comfortably for long distances as it offers a well-balanced load designed to carry the weight of the rifle - and all the extras needed.

From September AIM are introducing a new version of the tactical drag bag in the official MULTICAM® fabric pattern produced by DURO Textiles USA, which is the heaviest available. The Cordura is coated on the back and face sides for added water resistance. The new tactical drag bags will be produced in AIM 50 and the new AIM 55 options to the same specification shown above.
