Hazard 4 Battle Axe Guitar Shaped Padded Rifle Case

Hazard 4’s Battle Axe guitar case is a perfect item for making travelling with a rifle look a little lower key and discreet. The case has a single carry handle to the side and shows durable YKK zippers that can be padlocked together for security. Opening up the bag shows a 41-inch (105cm) twin inner pocket, with a padded divider that will easily hold two compact Carbines or a full-length rifle with folding stock capability. There are three main outer pockets, each showing further internal compartments with a mixture of zippered and elasticated openings and plenty of Velcro, both here and on the outside for ‘morale’ patches (which kind of defeats the discretion idea) or other fast attaching accessories and pouches.

The whole case is heavily padded, with a soft inner lining. The base carries a full-length, 2-inch wide Nylon strap, enabling rifle tie downs, or in this case, supplied Velcro straps to be positioned for more stability. You do need this, as the larger internal space isn’t restrictive to the gun’s position and it’s helpful to keep the muzzle in line with the external polymer muzzle protection. Although the back of the case is fully covered with thick water and wear resistant polymer material for extra protection, I think Hazard 4 missed a trick by not adding shoulder straps here, I think a carry handle at the muzzle end for vertical carry would have been appreciated too.

Just in case

Funnily enough, although it was designed to carry an AK47, it will happily fit most electric guitars and give their transportation an opposing visual twist with multiple MOLLE webbing patches making for a more tactical look. Further rubber spikes on the base grip the ground securely for a vertical propped up position, with D-Rings either side of the carry handle for an optional shoulder strap. Pockets and surfaces are specifically lined with tougher materials than the main cordura construction in high use areas. You can pack various accessories around the rifle itself in the main pocket below the divider, which acts as a secondary lid beneath the zips, for an overall weight of 1850g with external dimensions of 41.3x18.1x3.9- inches (105x46x10cm).

A great fun product from a serious manufacturer known for their long-term durability and quality, sturdy YKK zips all round and plenty of inner storage space complete the package.
