Napier Field patches

It goes without saying that if you are out hunting in the rain your rifle will get wet, and if moisture is left on metalwork it will only result in one thing; rust! Two products that are invaluable for protecting metalwork are Napier Field Patches and Super VP90 sachets.

The patches are a quick and very efficient way of protecting your gun as each sachet contains a full-sized Super Clean patch which is impregnated with 2ml of Napier Gun Oil. This is sufficient to completely clean and rust proof your rifle until you can get home to do the job more thoroughly. It also contains VP90, a powerful Vapour Phase Corrosion Inhibitor ensuring that any metal surface is completely protected.

The VP90 sachets are not to be opened as they are designed to be placed inside a gun bag or a gun cabinet. In both instances, they work in the same manner. That being the advanced vapour phase action deposits/bonds an invisible mono molecular coating on any exposed metal surface, but leaves other materials such as glass, plastic, wood, leather etc. totally unaffected. Also, because VP90 will not absorb moisture you need not worry that the woodwork will be damaged. It works regardless of atmospheric humidity and can even be used in conjunction with desiccants if required. Super VP90 now lasts even longer and will protect 1m³ for over 1 year.
