Custom Target Holos

Custom Targets are perhaps better known for their extensive array of zonal targets, cut from hardboard. Yet other gems are tucked away in their line-up. Holos are the new chalk targets, designed to break apart without the mess of conventional chalk designs, and because they don’t just shatter on impact, they are effectively multi-shot.
Check out the maker’s website, and they specify the ‘HOLO Challenge’. ‘How many times can you shoot a hole in the centre of one without hitting the rim and breaking it? Can you shoot a Hole in One?’ It’s a fair challenge given the overall diameter of 35mm.
The Holos are designed to break apart when the outer ring is hit, but hit that centre cleanly, (not easy when they are gently swinging in a breeze) and all should stay intact. The makers recommend suspending the Holos using the small hole in the top, rather than fixing them to a rigid surface. This means that they should last longer given less shock will be transferred on impact.
Short of space or distance over which to shoot? Then try taking on the Holo challenge while shooting from a standing position, at closer range. It’s all a challenge, super addictive and great fun.
