Centrefire performance from a rimfire rifle:  the Savage B.MAG in .17 WSM

  • American firearm brand Savage Arms recently launched the B.MAG, a rimfire rifle in newly launched calibre .17 WSM.Exclusively distributed in the UK by Edgar Brothers, the Savage B.MAG weighs just 6lbs, with a length of 40.5in. The Heavy barrel, which has a 1 in 9” twist, is 22” long and matte black made of carbon steel. The B.MAG was specifically designed for the .17 WSM calibre, which is capable of greater speeds than the .17 HMR.

  • With a synthetic or laminate stock in matte black or stainless, the rifle is drilled and tapped for scope mounts and comes complete with Weaver-style bases. The rifle is also supplied with Savage’s renowned two-stage AccuTrigger, which is light and crisp to use. The compact rimfire action uses rear-locking lugs and is cocked when the bolt closes, offering fast and efficient cycling. With a soft, rubber recoil pad, the B.MAG is supremely comfortable to use. Its rotary magazine holds eight rounds, and clicks into place, sitting flush into the fore-end. The magazine is released by a latch at the front of the magazine. RRP: £823.99 For more information, visit www.edgarbrothers.com.
