Merrell’s Men’s Outventure Spark Shirt

The Spark Shirt from Merrell’s “Men’s Outventure” range is basically a long-sleeved T-shirt with a crew neck and an ‘active fit’ and is designed for comfort and flexibility during high energy outdoor pursuits. What really, in my opinion, sets the Spark apart from all the other ‘Active Ts’ is the fabric used in its construction – Merrell’s ‘CopperTec’.

CopperTec is made of 66% Merino Wool 34% nylon. It is soft, lightweight, naturally moisture wicking, naturally hygienic, has reduced odour production (wear it for days without ponging) and is totally non-itchy!

Part of the fabric performance is due to the benefits of wool over synthetic fabrics, but the CopperTec fabric is blended with the hygienic properties of copper, which is anti-bacterial and anti-microbal, for even better “anti pong, rot and fungi” protection.  The Spark can be worn as a thermal layer in winter or as a long T in summer (SPF 50) and is comfortable in both roles due to its wicking properties.
