New Buck Knife EDC 5

  • Buck Knives has launched its first ever every day carry (EDC) model! The 317 Ridgeway EDC, is a traditional and elegant slip joint design, that also meets the needs expressed by UK customers for a knife that can be carried ‘every day’ with no potential legal issues, the first of its kind for Buck! CJ Buck, CEO and chairman of Buck Knives, said: “We have many loyal fans in the UK market who want to carry a Buck, but unfortunately, knives with longer blades and locking mechanisms do not meet regulations for EDC use.” UK law states that for ‘every day legal carry’ (i.e. without the need to have a specific reason for carrying at any point in time) the knife must readily fold and the blade length must be 3” or less. The Ridgeway’s blade is 2.8” long and does not lock so complies with the law. Garry Woodhouse, sales and marketing director at Whitby & Co, said: “We’re delighted to announce the new edition to Buck’s extensive range of knives. A knife that’s very clearly legal to carry at all times in the UK is something completely new for Buck, and their fans are going to love it. “The sleek design and smooth Burlwood handle mirrors Buck’s respectable craftsmanship and experience.” Price; £36.95 Visit; www.whitbyandco.co.uk (Editor’s Note: please carry and use knives responsibly)
