In 250 pages he covers the design and development of these vehicles and their service in combat from Normandy to Russia and into the heart of Berlin in May 1945. Everything is covered, including the variants of the vehicles and other designs they influenced. Units which used these vehicles are mentioned in the main text and the Italian campaign makes for particularly interesting reading
